Mission of the Position

To Negotiate the Lowest Price for Quality Venues & Vendors, contributing to Profitability for the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase the Highest Quality Vendor Products & Venues for different price points ensuring our Sales Reps to sustain a high Close rate for Client Contracts
  • Keep Excel Spreadsheet Current & Accurate with Pricing & Information
  • Create a Vendor Excel Spreadsheet and keep current & Accurate with pricing & Information
  • Keep Caterease current & Accurate with Vendor & Venue Pricing and Information
  • Create Accurate Expense Sheets & Proposals in Caterease
  • Create Accurate Invoices and Client Service Agreements in Caterease
  • Manage, Quote & Contract incoming A ‘La carte contracts
  • Manage Client Contracting & Payment Collection process
  • Become our Company’s Venue & Vendor Expert
  • Find & Qualify New Vendors and Venues
  • Request, Review & Approve Vendor & Venue Invoices and Contracts
  • Inventory Control of Storage & Supply Rooms
  • Research & Present Quotes for Office Related Vendors/Services to management
  • Maintain great relationships with all vendors & Venues

Required Experience & Traits

The following skills and traits would need to come naturally to the candidate in order to successfully fulfill this role:

  • 2 Years of Purchasing & Negotiating Experience
  • 3 Years’ Experience working the Event Industry
  • Strong Negotiation & Math Aptitude experience
  • Positive personality that is committed to help/support others on the team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented, accurate and organized
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency
  • Persistent
  • Proven Track record of achieving Professional Goals
  • Able to work well with a team or independently
  • Problem Solving Know-How

Software Experience

  • Microsoft Programs Expertise
    • Excel – Advanced experience using Excel including formulas and pivot tables
    • Office 365/Share Point
    • Outlook
    • Power Point
  • Caterease (a plus, not a must)
  • Quick Books

Compensation= $60,000-$80,000 (Salary + Commission + Benefits)
