Events is looking for an experienced, ambitious, creative, passionate, driven, goal oriented team player with exceptional people skills and extraordinary connections, to join our growing company. You must be able to cultivate and generate new business opportunities in the corporate events, social events & high school events markets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ideal candidates are dynamic, charismatic, think “out of the box,” outgoing, self-starters and have at least five (5) years’ solid experience in the Orange County event /catering market – hotels, catering company, or related field.

  • Have an established and well connected database/network of business
  • Able to spend MAJORITY of job generating outside sales, have the ability to travel to outside sales calls and/or events
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and relationships through industry networking resources, community events, outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, etc.
  • Strong understanding of, and expertise in, the sales process
  • Have expert food and beverage knowledge, strong understanding of service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Flexible to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends
  • Follow-up with client needs and client inquiries immediately – “End of Day Business Day” mentality
  • Correspond and communicate with clients and potential clients with all marketing collateral, including menus, photos, proposals, bids, contracts, confirmations, etc.
  • Be a fierce and friendly negotiator with vendors & venues
  • Identify, understand and cater to each client’s individual needs and manage the guest decision process and relationship
  • Create and sustain a positive and productive dynamic relationships with all co-workers, vendors and clients
  • Conduct Impactful and Insightful Venue Tours
  • Be a driven, ambitious, self-starting, creative, “out-of-the-box” thinker with the ability to work autonomously and with a team
  • Have a proven track record of exceeding guest expectations and delivering a memorable experience

Earning potential is $70,000 Yearly or more based on achieving the minimum monthly sales goal.
